Domestic violence affects one in three women around the globe. The Avon Foundation is committed to helping end the cycle of domestic violence and in 2004 launched the Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program. Through 2007, more than $6 million has been awarded to over 400 domestic violence organizations across the US to support awareness, education, direct services and prevention programs, with a special focus on children affected by domestic violence.

The Avon Foundation partnered with Oscar-nominated actress and producer/director Salma Hayek to launch the Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program, which includes free educational material, training programs, fundraising activities and public service announcements. Projects include the Need for Speed Relay Against Domestic Violence, unique fundraising products, support for the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and funding for projects aimed at Helping Children of Domestic Violence.

Global expansion started with the launch of Speak Out in Mexico, which won awards for their first domestic violence public service announcement, and other Speak Out programs are saving lives across Latin America and Europe.

Speak Out and help end the cycle of domestic violence.
