FIJI WATER PARTNERS WITH LOCAL RETAILERS TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR AVON WALK FOR BREAST CANCER

FIJI Water to Donate 5% of FIJI Water Sales from Participating Local Retailers

LOS ANGELES (September 4, 2007) – FIJI® Water, a leading premium bottled water brand in the United States and a proud supporter of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer since its conception in 2003, announced today that it is expanding its partnership with the Avon Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Through this extended partnership, FIJI Water will help raise funds for the Avon Walk by donating 5% of all FIJI Water sales from participating Los Angeles retailers during the month of September. The Los Angeles Avon Walk is scheduled for the weekend of September 15, 2007. In addition, FIJI Water will be holding similar promotions during October’s “National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Campaign” in New York and Charlotte to coincide with the scheduled Avon Walks in those markets. The Avon Walk in NY will take place October 6-7 and in Charlotte October 20-21.

Celebrating its 5th year as one of America’s most recognized fund-raisers, the Avon Walk raises funds and awareness to support the mission of the Avon Foundation: advancing access to care and finding a cure for breast cancer, with a focus on the medically underserved. All funds raised by the FIJI Water sponsorship will be awarded by the Avon Foundation to breast cancer organizations that support awareness and education, screening and diagnosis, access to treatment, support services, and scientific research.

Additionally, FIJI Water will continue to provide the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer participants with what they need most – hydration. Drawn from an artesian aquifer deep below the Earth’s surface on the Fijian island of Viti Levu, FIJI Water contains naturally-occurring minerals including silica, which gives FIJI Water its distinctive soft mouth feel, and electrolytes that are critical for hydration. Electrolytes can be lost when the body becomes dehydrated, and FIJI Water can help naturally replenish these missing electrolytes. As walkers embark on their choice of a 26.2 mile or 39.3 mile journey over a two-day period, the effects of weather, increased physical activity and tiredness can lead to increased hydration needs. Since attendees are likely to experience some of these symptoms during the event, FIJI Water will play a vital role throughout the weekend as samples will be available to the thousands of participants throughout the walk.

Local retailers participating in the FIJI Water-Avon Walk promotion, include:
Los Angeles: Ralphs
New York: Food Emporium
Charlotte: The Common Market, Dean and Deluca, Earth Fare, Fresh Market, Home Economist, Laurel Market, Lowe’s Food, Natural Marketplace, Reid’s Supermarket, Target, Wal*Mart Supercenter and Walgreen’s,

About the Avon Foundation
The Avon Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 1955 with a mission to improve the lives of women and their families. The Avon Foundation also supports emergency and disaster relief. Funds and awareness are raised through a wide variety of programs and events such as the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer series, the Need for Speed Relay Against Domestic Violence, the annual Awards Celebration, and the sale of unique fundraising products.
