AVON FOUNDATION AND RADISSON SEVEN SEAS CRUISES ANNOUNCE FIRST-EVER CELEBRATION AT SEA
Mar. 26, 2004

A Four-day Luxury Cruise Supporting A Special Breast Cancer Initiative
NEW YORK (March 2004) – The tide is finally turning on breast cancer. Today, the league of survivors is more than 2.5 million strong. There has been no single cure or prevention, but thousands of small advances worldwide are together making headway against the disease that according to the American Cancer Society will affect approximately 212,600 people in the U.S. this year.

The Avon Foundation and Radisson Seven Seas Cruises (RSSC) are launching the first-ever "Celebration at Sea," November 13-17, 2004, roundtrip from San Juan, Puerto Rico and calling at St. Barts, St. Kitts and St. Thomas. RSSC guarantees a minimum of 20% of all proceeds will be contributed to the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade. This four-day "celebration of life" luxury cruise will take place aboard the elite and intimate Radisson Diamond, the world's only twin-hull cruise ship. RSSC was voted "World's Best Small-Ship Cruise Line" in the 2003 Readers' Choice Awards poll by readers of Conde Nast Traveler.

Passengers aboard the ship will enjoy an upscale vacation along with innovative wellness activities and can create their own perfect balance of private time and togetherness with like-minded travelers. The all-inclusive onboard program will feature topics such as: cancer medicine; the science of cancer; answering the question of why; as well as special onboard parties and events; innovative medical and wellness seminars for the mind, body and soul; yoga, Pilates, movement and aquatic therapy; and for men, living and loving after cancer. For additional costs, optional excursions to islands ports-of-call and exceptional spa and beauty treatments are available.

"We are pleased to join with Radisson Seven Seas Cruises for this special fundraising vacation package," said Carol Kurzig, executive director, Avon Foundation. "A celebration of survival theme is fitting for a Foundation that for more than a decade has supported programs that provide care and research for breast cancer. This charity cruise will raise funds to support the development of a novel breast cancer vaccine therapy so that one day we can host a cruise to celebrate a victory over this devastating disease. Until that day arrives, the Avon Foundation remains committed to the fight against breast cancer and to partnering with corporations, organizations and programs worldwide to accelerate progress."

Funds raised through passenger bookings will be awarded to the "Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Vaccine Collaborative," a project involving world class researchers at the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins Medical Center (Baltimore, MD) and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Seattle, WA). The project developed therapeutic vaccines that are used in combination with other drug therapy, reducing toxicity and promoting the effectiveness of treatment using a combined approach. The first-ever trial in humans of a therapeutic vaccine in breast cancer is now underway with the help of Avon Foundation funds. Additional funds raised through the "Celebration at Sea" cruise will help advance this promising approach to treatment.

"We are delighted to partner with the Avon Foundation and are eager to help fight breast cancer," said Mark Conroy, president and CEO of RSSC. "Our ships provide an elegant yet casual environment for this kind of fundraising initiative and we hope to make "Celebration at Sea" an annual event."
