Guests and media began arriving hours early in anticipation of the event and extensive media coverage followed. Leading off the guests was Oscar-nominated actress and producer/director Salma Hayek, who is spokesperson for the Avon Foundation Speak Out Against Domestic Violence program. She was joined by other celebrity guests, including Lee Ann Womack and Eve Ensler, and over 600 industry attendees from the areas of business, fashion, beauty and more. Together these guests helped celebrate the Avon Foundation’s 50 years in support of women’s health and empowerment, as they raised funds and awareness to further the quest to eradicate breast cancer and domestic violence.

Extraordinary raffle prizes were won by about a dozen guests, including a trip for two to Paris, France, a luxurious respite at Canyon Ranch health spa and four VIP tickets and Backstage Passes to the Broadway hit "Sweet Charity."

Awards were presented to leaders in the causes of breast cancer and domestic violence, and the evening was capped off with a stellar musical performance by Lee Ann Womack, top-nominated female vocalist for the 2005 Country Music Awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year.
