Group Vice President and Chief Category & Brands Officer
Alex Long is Group Vice President and Chief Category & Brands Officer. In this role, he is responsible for managing all category strategy and brand development. He also leads consumer and market insights, identifying and developing big innovation ideas and nurturing our brands through new product development.
Mr. Long joined Avon in 1997 and has held a number of roles across Avon's Commercial and Brand Marketing organizations. Prior to his current role, Mr. Long was Vice President Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) where he had responsibility for overseeing marketing strategy, brochure planning, creation and print production for all EMEA markets. He also previously served as Vice President Commercial Marketing for Central and Eastern Europe.
Prior to Avon, Mr. Long held marketing positions at Whitworths in the UK between 1994 and 1997.
He holds a Bachelor's in Business and Economics from the University of Stirling in the UK.
